Tomorrow and Friday I will be taking my qualifying exams for my MA at Western Michigan University. They'll be in Eastern Patristics and Eastern Orthodoxy (surprise there, eh?)
I've spend the last two weeks reading up a storm and preparing. I feel fairly confident and prepared, but my last two years of efforts depend on what I can write in 6 hours (3 each day).
Please pray for me that I can write coherently and confidently (please not clarity of mind, I'd hate for my mind to clear out!), and hopefully secure an eventual livelihood for my lovely wife and me. |

Praying...it has been my experience in higher ed that no one wants their students to fail. As long as your are prepared, I'm sure you will pass with flying colors.

Thank you all for the prayers, I just received confirmation that I did pass my exams. You may now refer to me as Master Baines. (not really, but I'm pretty pumped! |
