Well I spent about an hour and a half last night jarring my last purchase. I warm the jars and fill them loosely and then cap and let cool, label and date and stack them in the cellar. Used up the last of my jars but got done. I'll wait for the next great sale before I buy any more bulk.

I should be writing for a speaking engagement ... so of course, I'm surfing the pipe sites :)

Just bought 150 grams of St. James Woods and 100 grams of Trout Stream from 4 Noggins. :chili:

Excited to try those

Been trying to purchase 5 pounds of McClelland 2015 Virginia Perique Flake and Aurora from P&Cs but they are continually "back ordered" on these tobaccos, when other vendors are stocked.

Frustrating. They have good prices and Oct is 20% off.

5 lbs would last me almost 4 yrs at my current rate. At my current rate my celler will last 2-3 years. But it's a big variety, so it should be an interesting 2-3 years.

So I could avail myself of free shipping, eight 50 gram tins of McClelland Aurora, and two 100 gram tins of McClelland Dark Star, from 4 Noggins.

I ordered from 4noggins because I have grown weary of P&Cs issue with McClelland, whatever it is. The very popular bulk 2015 Virginia Perique Flake is always "back-ordered" at P&Cs. Obviously, they must be in a dispute about wholesale prices

New tins of Aurora will mean I can let those I have age further. And I have never tried Dark Star but from what I have heard, I should like it fine. Two 100 gram tins of it should give me a good sample

As an afterthought I added to the order, these McClelland VAPers, so I could have a good sample:

McClelland: PEBBLECUT 50g, McClelland: BEACON EXTRA, McClelland Blakeney's Best BAYOU SLICE 50g

Beacon Extra is rated on Tobaccos Reviews a phenomenally 3.9/ 4. ...

I looked and looked and could not find this thread the other day. Some said on TobaccoReviews.com that Lane Achievement is close to Aperitif. I ordered an ounce of that. Even though I despise C&D for honoring Crowley, I decided to get an ounce of their vanilla-caramel Sweet English.

Pipes and Cigars had a 15% off sale on top of a Dunhill Sale.

I feel like I robbed them. About $6 for Dunhill tins....

Apologies in advance to our Canadian friends....

I've heard of some people having issues with P&C. I've never had an issue- even with the present ownership. My package has shipped and will be here next week. Oh, and I called the day after I placed the order to add a couple more tins and they said it was too late to include it in that shipment so they are sending them out tomorrow (with free shipping and the 15% discount on top of the sale price).

I have no complaints, they've given me only excellent customer service. I'm sorry to hear others had a different experience.

You're a keen shopper.

As for me, am getting low on three of my favorites, so today I bought

Two pounds of bulk McClelland No. 2015 Virginia-Perique Flake
Two 500 gram boxes of Gawith Hoggarth Brown Flake (unscented)
One 500 gram box of Gawith Hoggarth Scotch Flake
Five 1.75 ounce tins McClelland Pebble Cut

4 Noggins price on the 2015 was lower, and they had Pebble Cut in stock, so I got those there
SmokingPipes had GH Scotch Flake, whereas 4Nogins did not, so I got the three boxes from them.

But, ouch! That all set me back $332. But I did get FREE shipping. Not likely I'll be buying any more for quite a while.
