GLPease Stonehenge Re-release

Post by philofumo » Fri Jun 23, 2017 11:04 am

:wavey:
This is fun to watch.

http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/c ... st-1102290

The initial batch was in a quantity of 3,000 tins.

It went on sale several hours ago.

At this very moment they only have 1,012 tins left on hand.

Total Stonehenge sales so far today equal $22,753.36 !

So, is this a temporary, limited release, or will it be on the market for a bit?

From what Greg is saying it's back as a regular product... introduced today.
GL Pease, on his website, wrote:Though originally produced as a limited edition of approximately 1500 2oz tins, the continued high-regard of this tobacco, along with repeated requests to recreate it, made bringing it back as a regular blend an obvious choice. It took some doing, but thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, we were able to bring Stonehenge back to life.

How many tins could a Pepik cellar, if a Pepik could cellar tins?

Damn, I need to pay you a visit. I'm on a strict no tobacco purchase regimen right now.

Some Stonehenge arrived on the moonbase today (along with some War Horse bar and some Stirling Flake, and some pipe cleaners which I've been out of for sometime now)

Not sure if I'll get to it tonight or not.

I understand this tobacco is life, the universe and everything!
And, I just discovered that it comes in a 2oz. tin, which makes it less expensive than most other favorites.
I'm going to order some.

I have a tin of the original production and, though I like the flavor, it bites the heck out of me. Letting it sit for a while now that it has been opened, maybe this will help. Will definitely order a couple of tins.

I didn't like it at first. But today l pulled strings of it, and let dry for about 25 minutes. I rubbed out and filled my MM Tom Sawyer Cobb half full. I proceeded to just sip and that half bowl lasted 45 minutes of sipping. It was much better then fold and stuff. The flavor was nothing close to fold and stuff.
