... simular

Adjective

simular (comparative more simular, superlative most simular)

(obsolete, rare) false; specious; counterfeit
(Can we date this quote?) Shakespeare
Thou simular man of virtue.

Noun

Noun Edit
simular (plural simulars)

(archaic) One who pretends to be what he is not; one who, or that which, simulates or counterfeits something; a pretender.
1605, William Shakespeare, The Tragedy of King Lear, III. ii. 54:
Hide thee, thou bloody hand, / Thou perjured, and thou simular of virtue / That art incestuous.
(Can we date this quote?) William Tyndale, Doctrinal treatises and introductions to different portions of the Holy Scriptures:
Christ calleth the Pharisees hypocrites, that is to say, simulars, and painted sepulchres.

Ahem.

King Lear, which you failed to italicize, might I add, was published in 1606, not 1605. What is more, you cited it as having the title The Tragedy of King Lear as where the 1606 quarto was imprinted under the title True Chronicle Historie of the life and death of King Lear and his three daughters. The play was not published under the title of The Tragedy of King Lear until the year 1623 when it was anthologized, with some alterations to the text, in the First Folio.

What is more, given that I have smoked both Luxury Bulls-eye and Escudo and find Luxury Bullseye to be far inferior to Escudo, at least to the classic Escudo that I was accustomed to smoke, then I would say that such claims made as to the comparability of one to the other would be, indeed, simular.

They are different. I think Escudo has a bit more perique and has a bit more punch. So "better" depends upon which direction you are looking towards. LBF is one of my favorites.

Well it arrived Friday...but Friday evening was short as we were up before dawn on Saturday for a weekend trip over the mountains for a funeral. Last night when we got home the neighbor was going nuts in his back yard, so I haven't tried this yet. Maybe tonight.

You live in Mississippi? I thought you were in Colorado.
As thus we sat in darkness
Each one busy with his prayers,
"We are lost!" the captain shouted,
As he staggered down the stairs.

O love the Lord, all ye His saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful. Psalm 31:23

Yup its Colorado...Owner of the house lives with boyfriend at his house...so she lets her daughter live in the house...its a revolving door with a new boyfriend every couple of months and domestics and disputes with other people...last night the newest boyfriend is moving out, and the daughter had her step brother come over to over see...both were drunk and yelling and throwing tools and stuff in the back of a truck. The daughter will most time try to engage me in the conflict as she knows what I do for a living...so I have gotten good at calling the locals.
