Have you tried C&Ds Old Joe Krantz Blue

Post by DepartedLight » Tue Oct 24, 2017 6:03 pm

Cornell & Diehl Old Joe Krantz Blue (formerly known as Burley Straight) combines smooth white Burley with slow burning cube cut Burley and some bright Virginia for a natural-tasting blend that's smooth enough to be an all-day tobacco. This is the perfect sit-down-relax-and-puff option!

As much as I dislike exclamation points used in reference to relaxation, the blend sounds interesting.

Have you tried it?

I haven't but if you do some digging I believe this is a renamed blend from C&D. There's really no connection to the real OJK.

I've never tried OJK Blue.

Hope that helps.

Interest peaked.....

And it would be helpful if someone actually tried it and/or knew the back story behind it.

It does.

How did you guess I'm new?? Ha! If you want to try a fairly unadorned burley try Big N Burley from C&D. No Virginia like OJK Blue but it does have a very small amount of Latakia and perique. You could certainly add some Virginia to tweak the sweetness.
