Tobaccos from L J Peretti?

Post by wesleyan-gun » Fri Sep 10, 2004 4:41 am

:?: I am considering trying some of the L J Peretti blends, but being a bit of a price addict, I am always looking for advice before pruchasing. Does anyon have experience with this Boston store and their English blends?

Their Thanksgiving Day is wonderful, though not exactly an English Blend. They only release it once a year, officially, but if you are willing to order a pound or more they will blend some up for you.

Another that I've always liked is their Scottish Flake. Still my favorite dark Virginia flake even if it is flavored with red wine.

I wonder if they still use those paint can like tins for all of their blends? I always both liked and disliked those tins. Liked because they were so unique and disliked because they were often hard to open and close. They do not employ tins of any sort for their wonderful Thanksgiving Day Blend, however. That simply comes as a brick in a plastic bag.

Park Square, gentlemen. Park Square. Did I mention Park Square? Oh, it's good, is Park Square. If you don't like Park Square, I venture to say I question the unquestionable.

I need to get some more Park Square.

I have been intrigued by some of their blends with cube cut burley for years now but I have never bought any. I don't know why.
