Older Slipknot. Listen to the self titled album a week ago, now streaming (via Spotify). I should have given these guys a chance when I was in high school. I actually saw the video below when it came out, and liked it. I wrote them off though, because of the folks I went to school with who listened to them. My friends said that it was too harsh. I had yet to discover Meshuggah's Future Breed Machine and my love for more aggressive music, so I wrote off Slipknot for a few more years. Shame, that.

I've been meaning to do this for days, finally re-loaded pandora and am listening to my Soundgarden/STP/Alice Chains/RHCP/Nirvana/Bush/Foo Fighters/Smashing Pumpkins/etc station. Good times

I discovered this band, forgot about them, and then stumbled upon them once again tonight. Mixture of black and death metal with something else, at least in this song. Too much melody for black/death metal.

For some reason I have been listening to O.J's parole hearing live... it's kind of boring but it looks like he is going to walk..... again.

Lazarus A.D. New wave thrash band, but pretty approachable. I'd say they're pretty similar to Trivium, which some have said are the new Metallica.

Spotify started to go through some newer (post 2000) thrash releases. Decided to listen to some tracks from Kreator's return to form; Violent Revolution
