Bah. Winter came back. Couple inches of snow yesterday and now wind chills around -25.

- 25? :? It was 60 degrees in the Arizona Rm when I stepped out there for my evening pipe and libation. I felt so cold I had to go in and get a coat. And I already had on a long sleeve shirt and hoody.
You should come for a visit in late January/early February haha

Remember, Goose--he's in Canada, so that's probably -25C. That's only -13F, so it's not nearly as impressive as you thought. It's kind of like when Canadians complain about something costing $1,000 and then you figure out that once you convert it to USD it's only about $28.47.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Chilly morning and I knew it would be as I watched the temp on the thermometer drop quite quickly last evening. But saw one spinach seedling popping up in my little raised box garden & I expect the others aren't far behind. I planted 3 seeds in each divot to be sure.

Lovely weather in general lately, but very high winds-- and now the multiple wildfires that have popped up are devastating our area (Ventura County, CA). Prayers appreciated--

We got a dusting of snow, enough to cover the grass but it warmed up with the cloud cover to 32 degrees when I was leaving...got to work, and no snow and about 28 degrees.

I went to Arizona a few years back in early May for a week of training and I dealt with snow 4 mornings in a row and we had to delay leaving because the hotel parking lot had been snowed in and they didn't have the equipment to dig it out.

Yes. I am not sure why it is difficult to understand. Increased temperature is adding energy to the climate. This extra energy increases volatility. Snow in south Texas (areas with little history of snow) may be a sign of climate volatility--a sign of climate change in the form of increasing warmth--especially if these temperature/weather extremes occur at increasing rates (or less time between instances).
