I've got to head up into the sierras for my White Christmas snow fix. Poor me :P (I'll pick a few fresh oranges to take along to snack on  )

It's almost ... lemme see ahhh 23 F. It's warm! And snowing.
please tell me your quoting Grumpy Old Men
Well, the quotes got screwed up, but it's White Christmas - both Rusty's original and my "all that snow" comment.

Well I was quoting Marilyn Monroe. This is not the place for grumpy old men.
By comparison with the prairies (and by geography Minnesota, North Dakota etc) we've had it warm so far. If you asked any resident of those places they'd snort at Eastern Canada's/N. NY State/Vermont/NH's idea of cold. We don't have cold compared to their location. The arctic temps flow down across the prairies and surprisingly places like Whitehorse Yukon and even Yellowknife NWT are often warmer despite being well north of Winnipeg etc.

Last week it was raining heavily here and the prairies were down in the minus single digit F range all week. That's about a 40 degree difference in temp.

Very cold its 27 right now. I have on two short sleeve shirts, a long sleeve shirt, a jacket, wool socks, leather insulated gloves, and moccasins, and I am freezing in the garage. I can hardly smoke.

The wife just took the dog out and apparently it is a lot colder now that it was before.

Here in SW Washington it's about 40 or so and dry. Which is odd this time of year since it's usually raining. We are headed for Palm Springs in the morning pulling our 36ft 5th wheel. Will be there about 3 months. We are looking forward to the warmer, dryer weather so we can golf and sit around the pool. What is really nice is I can sit outside and light up a fine cigar/pipe and not freeze. The down side is I won't be able to do much shooting or gold prospecting there. But it's green!

It is 17/4 here. House was in the low 50's when I woke up this morning; apparently the furnace shot craps sometime during the night. 8O I just had the gas valve replaced in it last weekend. :x

The temp reading in the car this morning was a balmy 1 deg. F. Weatherpulse says it's 5.

It's cold.
