Dang cold. Charleston SC hasn't seen snow in a decade and never like this. Some parts of town got 4+ inches on Wednesday of last week and parts of the city are still closed up. Ice everywhere. Kids off of school until Tuesday. Worship services are being canceled for tomorrow.

Finally, we have some clouds.

We’re supposed to get some precipitation tonight, but it’s still warm so most of it will come as rain. Whatever snow falls will likely melt tomorrow. The forecast high is 47F, then 50F on Monday.

Rain in January is unheard of around here.

Colo. is dry in the SW. I can understand your concern. Here, we get our water from summer monsoon storms. The runoff from the hills flows into an underground river and we have some enormous wells about 5 miles north of town. When the copper mine was in operation, they used a lot of this water, and it was a boom.

“Snow” last night turned out to be a trace.
It looks more like a heavy frost than snowfall.

Forecast high today - 49F.
Tomorrow - 50F.

Cold, but not too bad. About 10F last night, but sunny today. We had a water main burst in the town right beside us. I hate it for the guys out there working on that. As long as nothing goes wrong with the house I can handle the cold weather. I have been in -23F before and survived, though I didn't like it.

You're like me except opposite. When it dips below 70F, and if there is any breeze, I run to get a coat. Its called being thin blooded as a result of all the heat we have in summer.

At present it's mostly cloudy and 66F with 1/2 inch of rain in the forecast for tomorrow.

The large Pacific storm brought Gale force winds here and knocked out the power this evening. Fortunately the new Generac whole house on demand natural gas generator worked like a charm and is powering the house at 50 cents an hour. Pretty noisy though due to birming back off the block wall along the property line.
