Had to put my sweats on last evening, and head back to the Arizona Room, with my pipe and libation. Just a bit of breeze with 70 degrees was too "cold" for me. It's what happens to us desert dwellers. Thin blood.

I don't like cold. I like warmth.
You'd love it here. 1C and snowing. But it's a warm snow.

Ugh. It's not the heat, it's the humid snow that really gets to ya.

57F and mostly cloudy here.

Forecast High 67°F
Average High 92°F

Low 51 °F

Rain last night and dark overcast today

This never happens in May

Maybe it is La Nina?

I was making light of some above average March temperatures, telling someone that if we are having May in March, maybe we'll have March in May. But I never in a million years expected it to actually happen.

In 2015 I had noted a high of 75 on May 8th. We have been here before.

More very abnormally cool weather heading our way, again. Next week many days high only in 70s. This just NEVER happens here. I have a feeling we are going to be severely punished for this soon. 8O

Or not.
One can always hope!

It's lovely here.
Low 70s and partly cloudy.

By "punished," of course, I mean with temps suddenly going into the 100s, and higher, and higher still. It doesn't matter once it goes over 110. It's all just blazing hot.

But the dry air does make a difference. Was out on the front patio for a while this evening, and with a strong breeze at 80 degrees, it felt a little too cool.

We are getting about 4 inches of driving wind. One of the windiest springs I have seen.

Clear
Heat Index 77 °F
Dew Point 46 °F
Humidity 42%

With the high winds and cool temps we've been getting, the humidity is unusually high, for here anyway.

Change in the weather. Somethin's happenin' here.

Just checked the 5 day forecast.
We have snow forecast for Wednesday night.
Up to 18" in the mountains just north of us,

WooHoo!

Been very cool here much of this month. I see presently temps back east 20 degrees warmer than here, in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. Pretty wacky, but I am not complaining. The heat will come soon enough. And when it does, we'll wait for monsoon to begin around July 1st. That is always a welcome punctuation to this climate.

60F, sunny and calm.
The mountains are plastered with new snow.

A gorgeous spring day.

Cold and rain. Makes sense for Victoria Day weekend. Better than snow, which is also common. Will try some fishing later today, and smoke some John Bull for Walt.

Walt. That would be me! But I discovered John Bull through our JimVH, so you could also smoke it for him.

I'd go fishing today, too, but (other than our towns wells, north of here) there's no water around here.

Got two and a half inches of rain yesterday. More on the way today, in fact it's raining now, and will rain all day.
