He accidentally dropped the damn lens on the ground before that shot. Look at it. Does that look like reality? He's a Velvia generation kid.

But look just to the right of the nearest tree trunk... just at the level of the highest cut branch on the trunk .... see it? Black fur but it's staring at us.

The "second shooter" that I'm training - aka my senior pastor's daughter - gave me one this past Christmas. The lid doesn't stay on well, but it's still Majorly Cool.

After watching a kick-butt wedding photography video series I decided to "break a long-standing photographic rule" yesterday: to deal with harsh lighting I put the sun BEHIND the subject(s). Totally awesome rim-lighting.

From the wedding I recently shot in Ohio, two versions of photos made a few seconds apart. I like the colour version with the HDR-like processing, but the b&w went straight to the portfolio.
