One of the bridesmaids in the February wedding provided some of the details (bridal accessories and reception paraphernalia), put together a video, AND blogged about everything.

The profile and silhouette in the black and white really enhance the depth of field and the contrasts-- excellent shot!

Well done.

It's been a few months. Here's a recent share on Facebook.

BTW, feel free to head over to the Skip Moore Photography facebook page and give me a Like...

Impromptu Street Photography
July 11, 2014

Downtown Chicago

It had been an eight-mile-walk-downtown kind of day with a heavy backpack of camera gear and I was on my way back to Ogilvie. Everything had been put away except for one camera with the 24-70mm. I was taking shots here and there while waiting for crosswalks, but I’d been shooting for more than five hours and the brain was nearly gone. Head down at a red light, I noticed a cool pair of shoes several people ahead of me. Then I caught the pattern on the dress, contrasting most righteously with the comparatively drab clothing worn by those around her. She was a fast walker and the blisters on my feet gave me no chance to keep up, so the first couple of shotgun clicks (I was literally shooting from the hip) started at 24mm, but after looking at the screen I gave up and rolled it to 70mm and concentrated on keeping a clear lane between us. The lens was wide open at f/2.8 (ISO 160 at 1/400) and I was just hoping that at that distance if the camera wasn’t focusing on her that I’d at least get enough depth of field from whatever it did decide to pick so that she’d be relatively sharp. Out of the twenty-plus photos I took over the next fifty-seven seconds (aren’t time-stamps wonderful?), this was my favorite, both considering the composition and the color red: her hair, her scarf, the purse on the bench to the left, and of course the traffic lights. She made the timing at the next crosswalk and disappeared in the distance.

And I never did see her face.

Can't step on the same piece of water twice.

That is going on the To-watch list.

That was the line. I forget the meeting - one of Van's first compliance sessions? - but definitely remember the line. :bacon:
