Boulder, CO has to be the biggest freak show in America. Literally. A walk through the Pearl Street Mall reveals the most colorful characters you'll likely ever meet. I love it.
Agreed!

I have a friend in Denver who's a Street a Photographer. He says that shooting in Boulder is like cheating. Every frame is a shocker.

Took a huge box out of the closet, filled with sleeved and captioned Fuji 4 x 5 transparencies I made almost 20 years ago. Been going through them on a small 5000 degree Kelvin Cabin light panel, and digitizing the best ones w/ an old Canon 4 MP SureShot.

I was wondering what you were using to digitize them.
Great project

The beautiful Tangerine Cross Vine that replaces the giant Organ Pipe Cactus I had to remove is not clinging to the painted stucco of my house, as the Nursery said it would. Grrr.

So, yesterday I picked up two 4 x 8 foot steel mesh grid panels at Ace, that have a 6 inch square pattern, upon which I will have to tie the vine to with green plastic landscape tape. (these panels are designed for reinforcing poured concrete slabs).

I will secure the panels to the eave and just let them hang. But first I have to paint them with a special oil based primer designed to apply to rusty steel, and then top coat them with a high hide gloss oil based white enamel. I am going to suspend the panels from my rose arbor, and attach some sort of weight, so I can roll on the coatings on both sides simultaneously.

I will post a picture when I am done.

2 bedrooms - just floors, trim, and paint - and I'm fed up. Glad I'm not you or ID :)

That looks great! I too, hate the trim and any finishing work. By the time the main bulk of any project is done I'm looking towards the next...

A valve adjustment on the Mustang. So far I have made it worse. It's my first attempt at doing this.

I have 4 quarts of pickled beets in my fridge, wonderful from all the organic fertilizer I gave them: chicken manure pellets, fish emulsion, bone & blood meal. The flavor is sublime as the aromatic molecules got absorbed by the beets.

They are pickled in sweetened rice vinegar, fresh crushed garlic, pepper corns, and gloves. Spinach salads are going to taste especially good now!

Fifteen years ago, my wife and I bought the house that my parents built. My old man had the gutters redone but left downspouts off one end of the house because he didn't like that it was eroding the lawn. The result was that the gutters couldn't handle that much water and they started to sag on this end on both, the front and the back of the house. I let it get pretty bad. So bad that the fascia on the front had also pulled away from the house from the weight of the water that wouldn't drain and was barely hanging on. Today, I fixed the fascia, gutters, and added downspouts back on this end of the house on the front and the back. I'm also adding rain barrels. I still have the lower sections to do and to add a spigot and an overflow. I'm just putting a standard downspout on the back until I can afford another rain barrel.

The Purple Lantana has been doing very well this Spring with extra water and feeding. It's such a beautiful, and very fragrant ground cover. Doesn't attract bees and butterflies and hummingbirds love it.

Been some time now, but these two hands built the decorative privacy wall, brick columns and pier caps. Six hundred 40 pound 8x8x16 concrete blocks. I bought one of the caps and made a fiberglass mold for the rest of them.

Reglazing and repainting some windows. 8 panes in each window x 8 windows. It's a PITA, but it will look nice when it's done and I'll have preserved some history. Gotta love old houses.
