Weekend trip to the Smokies begins tomorrow evening.
My next Bourbon purchase was going to be a Benchmark experiment.
I changed my mind for this occasion and paced back and forth in the store thinking of choices and then finding them out of stock.
Henry McKenna Bottled in Bond was on sale, and the phone said the mash bill was close to correct, so I will be giving it a try.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal

Dark roast coffee with a dollop of coconut milk. Heh. Yep. I'm just waiting until my wife's head is turned, to make this stuff disappear.
I'm old but I'm happy. (Most of the time.)

I had three Belgian beers with lunch and my wife is coming home sick. My arse, I'm afraid, might be grarse.

Stay away from the whiskey and you'll be good. Maybe.

I actually took a different route. When she got home, I made her a whiskey tea and had a glass myself.

Ain't my first rodeo, mister.

Right now, black tea in my almost brand new Abbey of Gethsemani mug given to me for St. Valentine's Day by my mother. It's nice. But they make fruitcake, ma. Fruitcake.
