Starbucks Venti Half-Caf sounds kinda high-falutin for a Geezer? (whilst I take another drag from my Iced Mocha)

fresh brewed french vanilla roast coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts. It's disgusting. really it's like drinking french toast if you can imagine.

High Falutin?? That's just plain coffee. Only thing is, being geezerish, the high level of caffine in a non-half-caf would cause very geezerish reactions in the lower un-mentionable parts.

ROFLOL!

If Geezerhood is defined by "The Coffee Effect", then I'm a T.P. carrying member!

Water. My usual drink. Then coffee or tea. I don't care much for any soft drinks.

My dear wife just made a pot of English Breakfast tea. So I'm enjoying a mug of that now. Milk, no sugar.

My all time favorite (in the evening after dinner time) is Brandy. Cognac or Armanac is even better, but seldom in the budget. These go very well with everything, but especially a good latikia heavy English or Balkan.

I like a good dark stout or porter with VAs. If I could afford good single malt scotch I think I'd enjoy that more with VAs. Had a Macallans 15 year old Oak the other night at a friend's. That would be perfect, but not in my budget

Mid morning, a good Dark Roast coffee goes well with most blends, but especially Frog Morton or Autumn Evening. I like tea with a pipe in the afternoon. Ice in the summer. Hot in the winter. Ice water is pretty good too. Sodas work, but seem less than ideal to me. Seems to accentuate tounge bit.

I love red wines, especially dry ones, but I find they don't go well with most tobaccos. Dry whites do though. Right now I'm having a Cab (had some with dinner and just wanted to finish it) with a latikia heavy English called Black Lung from Uptowns. Not bad, but I wish I had a brandy instead... Ah, just finished the cab and heading for the brandy decanter.... Yup, sure enough.. That's the ticket!

As a side note. I quit drinking (alcohol that is) for 15 years. Partly, I was being legalistic, but it also seemed to be a good thing for me at the time. A few years ago I revisited moderate drinking and have really been enjoying a full choice of beverages again, especially with pipes!

I have just finished a pot of Keemun Imperial and will soon brew another pot of the same or perhaps switch over to a Nilgiri.

Had two bottles of Guinness extra stout in the garage tonight, while smoking & conversing with a CGM colaborer and fellow church member.
