I'm having a Yuengling. I know you furriners like it, but I don't see why. It's bog standard bottom of the barrel here.

More often than not, I refer to a cup of tea as a "cuppa char," usually when I am talking to myself or one of my pets, as others might not know what I was talking about.

Some of the elderly people I spent time with when I was living in Britain still called tea "char" similar to Americans calling coffee "joe" or "mud". When my parrot sees me having tea and cake and screams at me to share with him, I'll talk back to him with a South London accent, asking him if "he could do with a cuppa char and a wad."
