Houston is becoming a city of stupid. And not even that proud kind of stupid, like Austin.

They've got Planned Parenthood's mega-abortion complex that looks like a giant cash register:

Protesters Punch, Throw Eggs at Trump Supporters in Calif.

Now I certainly think that the protestors are numbnuts, I think that the real numbnuts in this scenario is the mayor who responded to the violence thusly:
The mayor, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, criticized Trump for coming to cities and igniting problems that local police departments had to deal with.

"At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign," Liccardo said.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Trump's Sacramento rally attracts thousands of people
A small group of anti-Trump protestors were quickly drowned out by Trump fans who shouted, "USA, USA." One person had to be removed from the rally.

“I want to see him as president,” Trump supporter Turby Kohler said. “Plus, if there are any protestors, I want to get right in there and knock a few out."

Yep. It's satire.
Here's another one from the same site.

But close enough to the realities they ridicule.
I'd say both qualify for the numbnuts thread.

Karl Rove Made A Joke About Slavery To A Bunch Of Hedge Fund Managers. It Didn’t Go Well.
The conference featured a debate between Donna Brazile, former campaign manager for Al Gore’s unsuccessful presidential run and prominent member of the Democratic Party, and Karl Rove, a Republican strategist and commentator best known as the chief political adviser to George W. Bush.

At a certain point the discussion Rove offered this “joke” to Brazile, who is black: I did you a great favor bringing you into politics in the 1860 campaign and this is how you repay me? We’re happy you got the right to vote but it wasn’t your current party that was responsible for it.

Childs didn’t find this funny, calling Rove’s quip “patronizing and insensitive.”

She noted that the hedge fund conference felt like a “safe space” for a white man to tell a highly successful African-American woman that she owed her success to him. Not one of the industry speakers at the conference were black and less than 15 percent were women.

Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest in Cleveland during Republican National Convention
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Westboro Baptist Church, the virulently antigay Kansas group best known for protesting military funerals, has filed for permission to demonstrate in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention.

The group has filed for a City Hall permit to use the city's official "speaker's platform" in Public Square for a half-hour beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. The group also has asked for a permit — required to set up a "public art display" — in the Perk Plaza park near Superior Ave. and East 12th St. on Wednesday, July 20.

On its permit application, the group refers to its presentation as a "religious demonstration," and says it will send approximately five people to Cleveland.

[…]

She said the Westboro Baptist Church likewise plans to demonstrate at the Democratic National Convention, scheduled in Philadelphia for the following week, to warn the American people about the imminent judgment of the United States.

"There is not a nickel's worth of difference between the Republicans, the Democrats, the Libertarians or anything else they want to call themselves," she said. "The message is going to be the same at the Democratic National Convention as it is at the Republican National Convention." …

Valedictorian tweets about undocumented status, is driven from Twitter
On the one hand it was extremely numbnutty for a valedictorian to tweet this. On the other hand, people are mean.
