I thought this was going to be about running CPS.

Back to the couch for me.

None for me, but I've finally got all this congestion out of my lungs. So I'm planning on hitting it bright and early for 10 miles in the morning. The forecast is saying it'll be a brisk 27 degrees. I hope my motivation stays high, knowing it'll be so cold I'm sure it'll be rough to get myself out of the bed.

Might try to do a couple miles this afternoon. Really need to go get some new shoes. There's a 'real' shoe place within a few miles - measure the feet and then stand on some crazy thing that looks at your foot and figures out appropriate support options. My wife bought her last couple of pair there and swears by them, so off I go.

My goal for this week is to do 3 more runs. At least 2 miles.

I'm already feeling kinda crappy today... to getting out the door tonight will be a victory.

I've gotten off to a great start so far........

This week, I tell ya.

My goal is to get back to a fairly regular (3-4 a week) 5 miler. I was running marathons about 3 years ago, but don't have time or desire to get back to that. I've gained quite a bit of weight since I gradually quit running all together and took a desk job. Need to shed that weight and get healthy again.

Are you a morning or evening runner?

Done both, but prefer evening. What tends to work best for me though, is to bring running clothes to work and go right after I get done for the day. I get up at 5 already and don't really want to start making it 4 or 4:30 and at night, I've been busy making pipes as soon as the kids get to bed.

I did my 2 miles. A little tougher than I hoped. I ran while 2dot was in basketball practice... downhill 1 mile, turn around, run back uphill. Anyway... glad I got out.

I can't think of a single time I've ever went for a run and regretted it later.. Some have been unpleasant if I didn't dress properly or something.. but you always feel better after the work's done.

Yeah... that's what I tell my kids. And it's mostly true... there has been 1 or 2 that I did more mileage than I felt like - in order to stick to a plan - and a couple where I ran with someone fitter that pushed me too hard thinking they were being a good coach... and I'm not good at saying no... but yeah... but those are the rare exceptions.

3 miles tonight, Splits were 9:19, 8:51, 8:22
I was pleased considering I'm still hacking crap up out of my lungs. I averaged out to a 9:01/mi pace. But wow, I've got some work to do if I want to do my half marathon in less than 2 hours.. Ugh..

Rest day for me. I'm planning another 2 miler tomorrow. Hoping it's smoother than yesterday's.

I didn't go yesterday... but I did get out tonight. Another 2 miler. Definitely feeling better. Just being consistent helps. Might stretch it into a 5k on Saturday AM. We'll see.

How's everyone else's week?

I was considering going out this evening, but didn't so I can finish up my homework.. Sad part is.. thus far I've not even cracked my book.. I'm such a slacker..

I did enjoy a steak dinner though.. I'm going to get out tomorrow though.. probably 3 or 4 miles.. or maybe go to the track and do some speedwork..

I got in two runs both just shy of 2.5miles.

Was hoping to get in three runs but our schedule was unusually insane.
The runs have been slow, but increasingly easier each time which is encouraging.
I'm what some CPS'ers have called, "Better than advertised".

I used to be in the routine of doing pullups.. err.. trying to.. almost got to where I could do them unassisted but then I quit.. I hate it when I don't stick with something. If I'd have kept doing it I'd probably be able to do a decent amount by now.
