3.5 last night on the road. Felt great. Ran it a minute faster per mile than my usual pace. Last training run before my Sunday 10 miler with 2-dot. Just picked up our packets. :taco: :taco:

Don't run. It's too high an impact exercise that's very bad for your knees. Bicycle, instead.

Believe me, you'll miss your healthy knees someday.

In fact, runners in the study were found to be in less jeopardy of arthritis than their non-active counterparts.

Did our local 10 mile race yesterday. Ran the first 5 miles with 2-dot, then she took off as planned. I slowed down a bit for the second 5, she sped up. She got 3rd in her age group. I got a PR. A great day.

Good story. I wish I could get to 10.

I feel good... A little delayed onset soreness last night. But not bad. Tonight or tomorrow morning will be my post race recovery run. We shall see.

3-dot says she wants to do the local half marathon relay with me. My leg would be 7.6 and her's 5.5. 5 weeks to go. Will have to try and stay off tacos a few more weeks. 2-dot wants to run her first 1/2 marathon at the same race. Would be cool if she ran with me and then finished with 3-dot... But I know I'm too slow for 7.5 miles with her.

Though I do not jog or run anymore, I do very much like the outstanding New Balance 990 running shoes I recently got through Ebay. Very well made and great lateral support for everyday wear. Like them so much I got two pair.

Romance walk. I'll have to remember that.

HIIT this evening while my wife jogged.

2 mile run yesterday with the dog (5-dot?). Had planned to go slow, but was getting dragged so I just went with it.

The extended forecast looks it's really spring around here. Great running weather. Warm enough to get out on the road without a bunch of gear, but not hot enough to have to worry about overheating.

5.25 miles during 3-dot's volleyball practice last night. Ran in an area new to me. Rolling hills, nice sunset.

Lately, anything over about 5k makes my legs extremely sore the next day. My quads especially. Maybe I'm not stretching correctly, I don't know. So lately it's been intervals over the course of 1.6 miles or just 1.6 mile hard runs, then walk.
