Bulleit Rye is not an American Bourbon and is pretty tasty.

Yes it is. I lament that here in NC it's dang pricey. In Cali is was cheaper than spring water.

Like me some Rye Whiskey.

Went looking for Scotch on the cheap this morning. Came up with Glen Moray 10yr, Chardonnay Cask Finish on special for $31. I enjoyed their port cask finish. We shall see.
A real Scotch pro, has Glen Moray 12 year as his best loved. I like Glen Moray, but am anxious to see if 12 year has anything special to pick up my notice and enjoyment.

I picked up a bottle of Uncle Carl's Prohibition Style Whiskey. It's distilled in Potomac, MT.

It's got a bite to it but it's really good with Coke.

I was told the guy has an epic beard and rescues wolves.

Not a whiskey, per se, but I've really enjoyed the Costco Kirkland London Dry Gin with some warmer weather here. I do believe this will become my summertime libation, with tonic and lime. Much lower calories than what I had been imbibing, Margaritas.

While we're at it, let's not talk about the upper Midwest's greatest secret -- Korbel Brandy.

We drink it like the rest of the country drinks whiskey, because it's better.

Tincup American Whiskey
Bottle Description wrote:TINCUP is a blend of two great American whiskeys, each aged in #3 charred oak barrels. “High rye” bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, is blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt whiskey. These whiskeys are then cut with Rocky Mountain water. TINCUP is named for the Colorado mining pioneers and the tin cups from which they drank their whiskey.
This was on sale. Tried it for the first time last night.

I am a fan of high rye blends. This did not disappoint at all.

The cocoa finish is more pronounced than WT-101, but not over done.

Get you some!

Recently stumbled on a cool flavor wheel that I thought would be pretty good for applying to tobacco,
it's kinda neat.
