Sorry.

But I posted that sentiment somewhere about the time Toews lifted the cup last year.

Ha. No worries. Two more weeks of local hockey and then Hockeyboy tries out for varsity in August. I think I can make it :)

Our local rink hosted the Texas A&M v. TCU hockey game tonight. Rita and I sat in the best seats in the stands while HockeyBoy strutted around the arena with his HS team mates. It was my first time seeing a college level game and I was really impressed with the speed, power, and hitting. These kids put on a great show.

The Aggies put the whoop on The Horned Frogs 7-1. I may just go see game two tomorrow night.

Gig 'em.

Of all CPSers, it appears I am the first to report attendance at a professional hockey game this season (Southern Professional Hockey League - "A" minor league). Sat on first row behind the glass beside the penalty box.

There was a fight 32 seconds into the season opener.

I had tickets to the Heritage Classic last week but had to give them up due to church commitments

The Jets are kinda agitating me ... but at the same time they're a young team that are exciting me.

Tie up the game late in the 3rd. Then lost the draw in the zone with 30 seconds left and blow it.

HockeyBoy played well tonight. The opposing team had several players that he had skated with as a beginner and they gave him kudos or how far he's come as a player.

Oh, and we beat them 7-1 and lead the league.

On a bad note, there always seems to be that one a-hole parent. Two skaters collided. Innocent contact left their kid with an obviously injured hand. In comes a-hole dad who, instead of taking care of his kid, starts parading in front of the stands, beating on the glass, physically threatening the kid that hit his. We were sitting quietly, watching him be a tool, when he turned around and started demanding to know who was our kid's parent so he could take his pound of flesh. We all responded in unison and he retreated like the big mangina he really is.

Parents ruin the game.

Tonight is round one of the play-offs. We continue to play well and lead the league. If they can stay humble and do what they do, all will be well.

This thread needs more action.

One time i witnessed a mom jump the glass and beat a kid with her purse. Hockey moms have issues.

Jets are still meh, but Scheifelle has over a point a game right now. Oh Momma.
