The 'Post Yer Beast' thread

Post by j1n » Fri Feb 19, 2016 4:44 pm

Here are our 3:

Our American Pitbull Terrier, Mugsy. He's about 3, partially trained in German, and weighs probably around 70 lbs. He thinks he's a lap dog.

Image

This is our Chihuahua, Little Girl (aka Ghostface Killah, aka Ocho ). She's about 4, and weighs as much as a cat.

Image

And this is Luna (aka Loonybird), our daughter's dog. Pit/Jack Russell mix she looks like. Approx 25b lbs

Great idea for a thread, J1N!
Your pups look like wonderful pals.

Here are our current setters (Quinn on the chair, Panda close to the camera):

Here's my every bird hunter should be granted one truly great bird dog over the course of his life setter, Freckles:

Here I'm getting ready to hunt grouse near our home with Freckles and Buddy . . . I was just a bit younger then (like a decade!):

I lost my dog a couple of months back. All we have left is my wife's fru-fru dog, Gracie Lu Puddlemaker. Yes, she is exactly the spoiled little princess she appears, sweet as she can be, but high-maintenance.

I am without a dog for first time in 25 years.
You all helped me with the passing of Jeb after Christmas.

Jim & Rusty,

Truly sorry to hear about your losses.

Rusty--I'd been meaning to compliment you on your great looking short hair.
Losing a pal like that is really rough.

Maybe too soon to even think about it, guys, but a new pup down the road a little way will help fill that hole.
Hang in there!

Steve

Mine are in my avatar... "Kitten"-roughly 4 and a half lbs., and "Cuda"-coming in at a stoutish 5.9 lbs...

You would expect him to be the boss, and get the better of her. However, once he starts to get a bit too "rough", she will shriek like the hounds of you-know-where, and he either lets her go or drops whatever toy they were fighting over like a hot rock. Kryptonite could do no better.

They were foster doggies that we just couldn't let go.

Some type of chihuahua mix we drove an hour to pick up and then handed to us in a wee-soaked cardboard box. Good pups.

I don't actually believe this, but I have gotten a chuckle from the bumper sticker that reads,

""The better I know people, the more I like dogs."

Love this thread!

Great name.
We originally had three of the six in this litter. Ours were named "Duster", "Cuda", and "Rambler"(my wife reluctantly agreed to these)... The other three started as fosters for another household, but my wife and I kept the two runts of the litter... Thus, we wound up with Cuda and Kitten...
