Passed rough in electric today.
HVAC guy finished and we have plumbing inspection tomorrow.

Hoping for insulation next week and drywall the following week!
We seem to be on the same track. My Rough-In electric inspection was Monday, HVAC was Tuesday (which was denied due to something minor), and the Plumber finished up yesterday. I need to get another permit for the plumbing (and $650 fee that didn't exist 18 months ago :x ) which I'll be submitting this morning. Wanna race to see who can move in first?
Oooh!, this could be fun :)

What constitutes as finished? Notice of occupancy ?
I won't technically get an occupancy certificate, so we'll have to do something else. First person to consummate the master bedroom?
Pics or it didn't happen.
I laughed out loud.
Doesn't have to be finished to consummate the master bedroom. In fact, when we were building our house, well . . .

8O Why do nice things always have to get weird around here?

Dry wall guys got started today but it's insanely windy outside.

Was planning to work on the screened-in porch while they worked inside but just gave up due to 50mph gusts....

Instead, went and visited Lake Mich down the street. She's feisty today!

So sincere you said it twice.

Fine, I'll move soon.

Admit your dutchitiness. Although, if you just got a little more aggressive and incoherent, you could be Greek.

Been a bit since some photos...

First up was a couple weeks back right after drywall finished up.

Image

After drywall, we painted (forgot to take photos of that) and moved on to cabinetry.

Built out some of the kitchen and got the concrete mold ready.

Image

Post concrete pour. Going to work on a finish seal this afternoon/evening.

Image

Lastly, tile!

Got all the tile in three bathrooms laid over the past three days. Moving on to grout soon.

That's an amazing house, sir. You really have some elbow room. I've been in smaller church halls than that room.

Getting close to scheduling inspections!
Flooring done today.
Starting trim tomorrow, last huge item on the to-do list before potential move in.

Christened my toilet today: oddly one of the more satisfying things I've done this year :)

Thank you Hugo. Went with the open concept living space. Kitchen, dining, & living rooms all in one open space.
