I see that the U.S. defeated Japan, 2-1 in this international baseball classic. Not sure what the next level is. Of course, it was good to see 3 San Francisco Giants on the U.S. team, catcher Buster Posey, Short Stop Brandon Crawford, and their new closer Mark Melanchon. All three being pivotal in the outcome.

But I like the Giants. Was baptized as an infant, a Giant fan, when my folks lived near New York City. Back before the Giants and Dodgers moved west in expansion.
Championship game tonight, USA vs. Puerto Rico. Should be a great game. I give the edge to PR, but in a one-game championship, anything can happen.
United States defeats Puerto Rico 8-0 to win the 2017 World Baseball Classic championship.

Gonna watch the Giants vs the Cub's at 1:05, at the Cub's facility, on MLB TV

Arrieta on the mound for the Cubs and Cain for the Giants. Real pity about Matt Cain. He pitched that perfect game back in was it 2014? They then signed him to a huge contract. He then disclosed elbow pain, and had surgery to remove a jar full of bone chips. He's never recovered.

They sure could use a lot of that money tied up in him, for a power hitter or two.

Opening day, today, of the Major League baseball season. The Giants/ Diamondbacks MLB TV game is blacked out here, but I have audio. Pitching, Bumgarner vs Grienke.

Loved having a Cards/Cubs match up for opening day in Stl. Made a big event of it with kids; we grilled hot dogs for chili dogs, watched the ore-game festivities and the whole bit. My middle child is a 10 year old boy, right in the sweet spot for this stuff. Fun times.

Wainwright vs Arrietta tomorrow.

I tried to get the Braves game on streaming radio. It's not allowed. I hate the MLB.

We knew that. I can think of no other reason to pull for the Braves.

I wish there were more afternoon games. Do you remember when most of the games were afternoon games? Thanks, Obama.

Great opening start for JV.
Hopefully Tigers will have a moderately capable staff beyond him.

Two games in and the Cubs and Cards have won a one run game. Rubber game tomorrow afternoon. Baseball is back. :)

Also, anyone see Piscotty get hit with the ball 3 times in the same series of plays? Crazy.
