John boy, great shots! Keep them coming.

Goose, that last post is more in the tradition of Edward Weston, Wynn Bullock or Frederick Sommer than David Muench or Elliot Porter. More ambiguous. More risky. More sophisticated. I LOVE it!

Right. Grew up on the east coast, but have been out west so long, that my brain equates sun on the water as sunset.

And somehow it wound up being the last of all the chromes I sorted through.

And, yes, indeed,... there's also been some nice stuff posted by so many of our CPS brothers. I eagerly look forward to more!

I well remember the east shore of Lake Michigan, 2X7. Lived for 3 years south of Benton Harbor. Lake Effect Snow was a marvel to me.

A one-legged galinule. It was hopping around like a pogo stick. (taken with i-phone) ...

Its' leg may have been bitten off by this small gator in the pond nearby, (taken with i-phone) ...

Or, the gator may just be eyeing this bullfrog sitting close by, (taken with i-phone) ...

Meanwhile, after a short rain, we continued fishing for bass around the lily pads, (taken with i-phone) ...

Beautiful roses, Goose.

I carried my camera out to the mailbox and shot this just now, mid-day. The light this time of year is usually too harsh to shoot except in shade mid-day, but the sky was so deep blue, I think maybe this one worked simply because of the richness of the colors.

Wowser. Those are all three great images, 2X7. And that camp sit looks so nice and secluded. It that near Lake Michigan? The soil looks sandy.

You have a good eye for composition. The 2nd pic especially says so. Nice light & signature clouds. And the image draws one into the scene w/ the lower left to top right lines.

Keep posting !! I love it.
