I root for our college soccer team - 3 times D2 national champs!
Our football team is terrible.

And I root for the University of Colorado football team who look to be pretty good again this year.

We're on the front range house hunting this week. Evidently there was some big game by a couple local teams last night.

In other news, It seems Kansas has enough guys out this year to piece together a team. If the NCAA ever decides to form an 8-man league the Hawks will rule.

The big surprise was the low score.
Two very good teams.

CSU fans pretty upset about the officiating.

Colorado football is back!

Good luck with the house hunting, Fred.

My small college lost their opening game to Chadron State today 25-19 - at home in front of dozens of fans. A few dozen maybe. I think. I wasn't there, but I could hear the silence from home.

It's early, and things could change. Some other crappy team could have unexpected injuries to key players. We might not live down to our lack of potential. But I'm going to be brash, go out on a limb and predict an undefeating season. A perfect 0-11! We've come so close in the past, always managing to barely hang onto a slim lead in the last quarter of one or two games, but this could be the big year. I can feel it.

We were picked to finish 9th out of 11 teams in the conference but I think we can do worse than the so-called experts have predicted.

Much worse.

What's wrong with these guys? They go to school primarily to get an education. They play football for the love of the game. What the hell is wrong with them?

Oh. My brother graduated from Rutgers in 1968 and has been a diehard Rutgers football fan all these years, faithfully buying season tickets every year. Reminds me of a Job.

Pitt vs PSU was a fun game. Kids at State are just nice. No rumbles, no stupidity.

I feel bad for your brother, Steve. EMU is a tough loss to swallow.

EMU is now 1-58 against Power-Five foes.
Rutgers is setting up for yet another heartbreaking season.

However, Fort Lewis beat Black Hills State 17-13 and is now 1-1.

Clemson looking pretty darn good.
Both teams look to be headed for the championship game.

Meanwhile, our football team lost yesterday, 41-7, to the major national sports powerhouse you've all no doubt heard of, Colorado School of Mines.

Now 1-4 with our perfect season ruined by a fluke of a victory against Black Hills State, it looks like we won't be playing in a major bowl game this year.

To make matters worse for our family, my brother's wife went to Penn State and my brother makes her watch Rutgers games. They've been happily married for some 25 years. I don't know how it's lasted.

Oh, and my wife went to Ohio State, who beat Rutgers 56-0 yesterday.

My brother and I can't seem to catch a break.
We'll muddle through, somehow. :baghead:
