Well done on the pen. They make fun projects and cherished gifts. You can make a buck or two with them, also.

I'm starting an order for two dozen bottle stoppers this weekend. Pics to come.

Sorry. Last weekend didn't pan-out the way I hoped. I started cutting blanks last night and will post something as soon as shaving start to fly.

I made this last night. Except I went to put the razor together and realized I left the bushings for the stand on, so I need to put it back on and turn it down some more. Woops. Image

We could have a multi-page thread just on the woops moments I've had turning.

My skill and knowledge increases by leaps and bounds. I have now fashioned a walnut pipe tamper...

Nice. Make a big version and you got a fish whacker (or a priest)!

Not a bad idea. Lots of oak and walnut laying around here.

You needn't hit the bird that hard, you know.

An olive wood Slimline pro in left, and maple burl cigar with a CA finish on right

Thom

Those are beautiful! Very nice work.

A couple of years ago, I was in contact with a guy who turned beautiful varmint calls. I have several that he made and I got the itch to learn a new skill but didn't act on it. then a short time later, I saw some of Coco's work and he sent me some pics of his projects, Coco is very talented and skilled, and I got the itch again but didn't act on it. Then about 2 years ago I decided to try my hand at wood checkering...I have created some very decorated firewood...not well decorated, but

You guys with skills and talent impress the hell out of me!
