Absolutely! It is an Advent carol, after all and most appropriate this time of year.Image

Silent Night.

Hits me in the feels every time.
This.

I can rarely sing it without having to just stop and compose myself. I have no idea why this song has such a powerful effect on me. Actually, I do know why. And that makes it even more powerful.

For me, this is an undeniable sign of intelligent design. That we find beauty and artistry in an alpine flower or a string of sounds arranged in just the right sequence - so much beauty that we weep in it's presence - indicates an artistic arrangement as big as the universe and as small as our very souls.

O Come Emmanuel. And that's about it.

Side note: we flipped to 24/7 Christmas music at the station on December 1. I tried suggesting we go 24/7 Christmas music for the actual 12 days of Christmas. I was rejected :(

I do love "O Come All Ye Faithful". That first line, "..Joyful and Triumphant" always makes me smile, reminding me of who I am through Christ.
