Secret Santa

Post by alchemyhunter » Sun Sep 09, 2007 11:09 am

Do you think that there is a way to organize a Secret Santa for this board? After all, Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat.....

I will spare you my tirade about how much I dislike Christmas other than to say that I am looking to decrease the number of gifts I send and receive rather than increase them.

Your good intent is not lost on me, however, and I applaud it. But I will respectfully decline participation in the activities.

The rest of you Santa-wanna-bes have fun!

8O How can you dislike Christmas?!?! 8O

Birth of our Savior, the smell of pine in the living room, crackling fires, cookies, turkey, mash potatos, gravy!!!! Gravy alone should make it an acceptable day. Gravy, is what God gave us after wine.... I'm sure of it. Good Grief man... it is GRAVY!!

Not to mention there is also Christmas eve service, the only service where everyone knows the words without the hymnals. Even heathens go and carol.

You go shopping for the ones you love, such as friends... and even shop for those who are less loved, like family.

Comfortable sweaters, pipe smoke and scotch; presents in the morning, a mid-afternoon nap.

Anticipation, excitement, not to mention family programming on TV that the WHOLE family really wants to see. Its a Wonderful Life, Scrooged, The Grinch, Marical on 34th Street, Rudolf, Frosty, A Christmas Story, The Santa Clause, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, A Christmas Carol, not to mention all the carols and hyms again. Start Singing them now, get in the mood.

You can make your dog where an elf hat while you decorate.

Egg nog and mulled cider, SEASONAL BREWS!!! Seasonal beer, indicating once a year. Drink while it is available, because come February we right back to regular beer.

It is most wonderfull season of them all... what h*ll is there not to love. Christian Pipe Smokers good Sir..... Christian!!! Christmas! Hello, it is a hand-in-hand kind of thing.... I mean c'mon...

y'er dead to me

Somebody give us newer guys a rundown of how it went last year.
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6,7 ESV
