She played Robert Mitchum's girlfriend in my favorite movie of all time 'Thunder Road.'

I looked on YouTube, thanks. Glanced at several of her songs as well. She's an emotionless a singer as I think I've ever seen.

That's actually part of her shtick. She was beautiful and beyond talented, but nobody wanted to hire her because she didn't emote at all. So Louis Prima (hated by Italian Americans, by the way--Nonno called him the "Dago Step n Fetch It), who was so over the top as to need balance, hired her because he could clown around and dance around her singing love songs while she just stood there.

I'm sure you knew all that and if you didnt, I can promise it won't be on the exam. I love her voice.
