This is akin to your Mario Grandi grasshopper pipe.........smoke what you like.
I like what I like.
It has the way cool loop on it so you can hook it to your belt when not in use.

Good to see Ruegg posting again with his different takes on desirable pipe styles.

Interesting. Kind of a cubist take on a bent brandy/horn. Could you twirl it around your finger like a six-shooter?

If a Teppanyaki/Hibachi chef can twirl a spatula around their finger, I'm sure someone could figure out a way to twirl a pipe.

Oddly, I dig this:

I will allow this.
The more I see it, the more I like it.
Although I've found myself liking Cumberland and other mixed color stems more than I had in the past, I am not warming up to this pipe. The stem color seems, to me, to draw more than its appropriate share of attention.

I'll give it more time, though.

Goodness knows, my taste in pipes is always changing and a pipe I wouldn't have given a second look a few years ago (like a briar cherrywood or practically obese author or Rhodesian) suddenly looks beautiful to me.
That means somebody else has a chance to buy one for a change.
I have taken a break.
All the pipes in my pipeline have arrived.
None left to be delivered and none out for repair.

It is time to simply smoke, which, by the way, I've been doing with gusto with a new schedule at school and many moments available for a pipe and conversation.

Life is good.
God is great.

Not $9,999,99

I'm surprised you haven't nabbed this already. 'Tis a beaut.

They changed the listing.
It was priced at $9,999.99 when I first looked.

Apparently a corrected mistake.

I've been looking for an old Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker Smooth (@1987-1993) like this one:
Image

This shape is different than the modern version seen here:
Image

Back in the late '80's and early '90's, the Peterson Sherlock series had two sizes: the original and the junior. I have a rustic junior and I would like a smooth in either.

Someday.

I've been desiring a Becker pipe of any sort - Fritz, Paolo, Becker & Musico or a new Becker by Federico for some time. Their prices have skyrocketed, but estate Becker & Musico's have remained affordable.

I pulled the trigger on this near mint Becker & Musico sandblasted Liverpool last week. It arrived yesterday:

Image

Image

It is stamped, "Becker & Musico 5 Years, " which would make it a 2005 pipe. As was their preference, this is a smallish Liverpool, something near a Dunhill group 4. If the typical procedure for Becker & Musico was followed (although I understand Paolo made some of the pipes entirely by himself) The stummel was fashioned by Paolo and the silverware and ebonite Cumberland stem were done by Massimo.

The stem picks up the colors of the stummel very nicely. I think it's rather fetching.
