' Speraaa from Greece, i am smoking Samuel Gawith St. James Flake in a Savinelli, filtered water beside me while reading the news and i remembered what i read 2 months back and still i am trying to understand:

She argues that the a disproportionate number of math educators are white, while the study itself teaches mostly Greek and European-established methods
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ilege.html
Teaching the Pythagorean Theorem or "pi" in geometry class perpetuates white privilege by giving the “perception that mathematics was largely developed by Greeks and other Europeans.”
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... ilege-bec/
Image

if she is suffering from "tongue bite" in pipe smoking will she accept to fix her problem while using mathematics to measure the bowl size, the bowl hole, the size of the filter etc?

Dunhill Flake, appropriately enough, in a Dunhill Group 3 straight apple.

(Read with an Oxford accent:)

Yes, yes, I know what the hoi polloi say about the Club of the White Dot.
Pure envy, really. Quite pathetic if you ask me.

I did not want to die never having answered the question, "Is a Dunhill worth all that money, or are you just buying a name?"

A fellow member of the Christian Pipesmokers Forum, hardly one of the hoi polloi, gifted me this estate Dunhill which I have now cleaned up a bit and with which smoked a favorite Virginia flake.

As far as this pipe is concerned? One pipe? Not enough of a sample to make a judgement about the brand.

This pipe smokes very nicely. No better nor worse than many other good pipes I possess. Its smoking qualities are no doubt somewhat influenced by the well established cake that remains nicely thick in the bottom 3/4 of the bowl. The top of the bowl had been badly reamed (I'm guessing by a previous owner other than the one who gifted me the pipe), was out of round and gouged in a few places. I also tightened up the stem a bit with a few wraps of Teflon tape and gave the pipe a carnauba waxing. I know that cleaning up the lines of the rim has destroyed any value this pipe might have had as a "Dunhill." But it was a gift, and its value resides in the giver's kindness. I'd never think of selling it. It is now part of my pipe-smoking son's inheritance.

Lovely little smoker, yes, but not half as lovely as the kindness that was evidenced in the generosity of the giver and to whom I will remain eternally grateful.

(I shall now return to my normal way of speaking.
Code switching and all that, old chaps.)

Man, what a neat little pipe!
Thank you, thank you, most kind and generous unnamed CPSer.
I intend to smoke the heck out of it.

Well there you go.
I knew I couldn’t pull that off.

It’s still a neat little pipe!

The bowl of G.H. bulk Brown Flake (unscented) I had for breakfast wasn't bad, so I had one more for desert. On this Sunday Morning Comin' Down.

Good evening from Greece, tonight i will raise my pipe and a glass of brandy in the memory of Vladimir (Bartholomew) Demetrius
a Greek born in North Epirus which was the first president of the United Republic of Argentina (Metros>Mitre in Spanish) 1821-1906
also founded the newspaper "Ethnos", in 1862, the first newspaper of Argentina.

For this evenings pipe, with libation, I do believe I shall partake of a large bowl full of a 50:50 mix of McCl Beacon, and Beacon Extra. And in our Joe Goat's fantastic large scoop he made for me.
