I overwhelmingly prefer straight pipes.

I like neither English nor Aromatic blends. I like burleys and matured Virginias.

I love the billiard shape. I despise the poker.

I refuse to give and answer about Mary.

Another divide that I've often mused upon is between those who primarily hold their pipe in their mouth versus those who keep it in their hand.

At least in part that's depends on what type of pipe is chosen and under what conditions it's being smoked. Don't you think?

Usually. All of my pipes are small and on the short side so they're quite easy to keep in my mouth. It's one of the things I look for when buying a new pipe.

Hm... yeah, me too. I was thinking I held the pipe in my mouth because I had smaller pipes... but I think you're right. I start with wanting to be able to hold the pipe in my mouth and pick pipes that work best for that.

Wizards vs. Hipsters

Although some hipsters look like hobbits, their motives are entirely different.

I think UncleBob alluded to one of the starkest divides when he wrote Collector vs. Smoker,
and in a similar vein I'd suggest Connoisseur vs. Codger.

Mostly bents but not exclusively. Straights must be pretty light (50 grams or less) as I tend to be a clenched.
Definitely English over aromatic, but Virginia over both and Vaper at the top.
Own both but lean toward rounder shapes.

The big and foremost dividing line here in the German speaking area is the usage of filters.
When I started smoking I used carbon filters, now I tend to leave them away.

Depends on the person and how set & rigid, or flexible they are. I love VaPers, but also will smoke a mouth watering fruity aromatic. I like to enjoy a good long smoke, so I enjoy large bowls, with lots of thick briar. Yet, I use my Falcon, with it's tiny bowls a lot, when I crave an exotic shorter smoke.

Was plagued by a bit of allergy very early this morning and just decided to get up,... at what, was it 4:30 am? Means I'll have to take a nap. I love naps.

I get up at 4:30 a.m. every day.

What are you allergic too out there? I thought your region would be a low pollen dream for allergy sufferers. I threaten moving there each spring when I want to die.

Is that for the morning show? Or do you just like seeing the sunrise?
