Have it on good authority that Dunhill is going to stop making tobacco all together.

I wonder how many empty nightcap tins I've thrown away. I may try to dig one up for a keepsake or collectible.

I agree,

Yes, that ship left port almost 40 years ago. The Dunhill Tobacco Co., stopped making tobacco products a long time ago. Before most of you were born in fact. Certainly before JMG was born. And we've had Dunhill-branded tobacco for almost the whole time.

And I'll tell you something. It's very unlikely that it's going to go away. Maybe we should talk about why.

Now I could start this discussion by saying "But believe in me and you'll still have it."

That was ok for Jesus, but it's not really my style. However, if you insist... 8)

I've posted the recent history of Dunhill tobaccos before. It's at the following thread...
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29021&p=724596#p724596

If you read that the news story will make a little more sense. This does not involve Alfred Dunhill Ltd.

My apologies sir,
but I couldn't resist.

Sadly,
I am indeed THAT GUY ©

You have my utmost respect --- the amount of good work that you've put in this world is amazing,
and I give much thanks.

You offer an aspirational archetype (in the sense of something to aspire towards) where in my times of hardship I have thought of you,
and even though I don't really know you,
you have given me strength, and that ain't no lie --- so thank you for doing what you do.

I overheard a conversation between some well-connected folks that said Lane is close to finishing the deal and the same tobaccos could "soon" be available with same blend names with same tin art under the brand name "Original."

My Dunhill Flake and Nightcap continue to sleep away, tucked under blankets in my hall closet cellar. Been 2 years now because I had afterwards discovered McClelland. Seeing how it is instead McClelland that is now gone, I am glad to have the Dunhill gaining age.
