Strange that the Brebbia was open as well. I purchased it from the local cigar shop and put it straight in the box same day. Can temperature changes break seals?
The Brebbia tin was/is a little rusty, so that could easily have broken the seal. It wasn't completely off like the Wessex, but it definitely wasn't sealed. It's a good tobacco though. I smoked a bowl of it and might have kept it if I had known it was supposed to be a sealed tin and not a sampler tin.
It's not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. --Colton

I forgot to say I added something else to the box. DLibbon was bored one day during his family's stay with us, so he whittled a stick. It's not in the shape of anything, but it is whittled. I added it to the box. It's probably the most valuable thing in there.

Dude. I told you. It's gonna be fine. Everyone gets a colonoscopy eventually. Be thankful you made it to be old enough to qualify for a free one with insurance. Just follow their instructions to the letter and you won't even notice the completely hideous violation to your body. And as an added bonus it's all recorded in vivid glistening color and saved as video files.

So. Just chill already.

I am still laughing. That is also on my to do list. It has been for a couple years, but not tomorrow.

Package arrived at my house today, as planned.

Adds: Tin Calumet Pipe Tobacco UPCA, Tin Maple Street, 2 oz jar of Briarworks Back Down South. (minus one small bowl) It tastes good, but it made the room spin. .7 oz package of Modern Virginia from Mac Baren. Also samples of C&D Gentleman Caller, Sterling Tobacco Co's Virginia Perique, G&H Whisky Rope. I am also adding 5 olive wood tampers and 3 briar tampers.

Takes: One habenero lollypop, GL Pease's Cumberland, Wessex Sovereign, samples of C&D's Bourbon Bleu, Prickly Pear black tea, the Chesterton book, The Japanese pipe and tobacco.

Best of all! I am taking the whittling masterpiece!

I will mail the box out tomorrow.

Sorry. My wife claimed the Halloween candy as her payment for packing the box. To fill the hole, I added some Czar Nicholas tea. This is a good smoky blend. I also added one of my ties to the box. Someone will be the best dressed dude at his next pipe club!

Package has been sent this morning. Going in a southwest direction.

I just got back from my garage. I have been wanting to try one of these Japanese pipes. Tobacco is extremely fine. The Youtube link below shows how the tobacco and how it is smoked. Obviously, the man is not me. But it has subtitles in English and French. My first attempt was done in five puffs. I don't really like the tobacco, since it is like a cigarette. Haven't touched one of those since I was around 12. It is much better with pipe tobacco. It lasts much longer and tastes better.

The Wessex blend is tasty. I smoked a bowl from my CPS 2016 POY. It seemed appropriate. I found a dent in the lid. Maybe that is how it came open. Whatever, I will put in in a jar soon.

I think I will start reading the Chesterton book now.

The whittled stick works great as a tamper! I modified the bottom to give it a flat surface. My shop tamper gave up it's glory in a recent experiment with wood stain. The new tamper is much better.

FYI, my wife has been inspired by our box pass. She is now trying to organize a box pass of quilting materials among the quilters in our church.

Thanks again for organizing this event and also to everyone that has participated.

Box contents on arrival (minus tall mason jar, which I replaced with zip lock bag. Two glass jars in the same box could break).
Image

Changes made to contents: 1) removed Irish Limerick from tall mason glass jar and placed in zip lock bag. Carefully repacked 1 remaining smaller glass jar to minimize risk of breakage. Whoever's tall mason jar this was, if you want it back, let me know and I'll send it to you. 2) removed stems from the two pipes and re-wrapped.

Taken, and thankful. I just ran out of SWR, and blueberries are my favorite fruit.

Given. (The Rattray's Stirling Flake is supposed to be a lot like Peterson Irish Flake)

What an interesting journey this box has taken, next time we should include a small journal where we can jot notes and keep passing it in future box passes.
