Re: Most most recent bowl
Short version:
McCl 2010 and 5100 parfait in a Teipen Pot [ I HAVE A POT PIPE! ].
Longer version:
We've been expecting a rain snow mix here tonight. The thunderstorm was unexpected. The pups don't fancy thunderstorms as I do.
The only cure to their anxiety is to go outside and ride out the storm. Might as well pack a pipe as I am doing the dad in that Poltergeist flick counting off from lightening to thunder.
We went from 2 seconds to 5 over several minutes.
The first three strikes were impressively close. I do fancy me some thunderstorm.

Re: Most most recent bowl
We were starting on the warming trend and it was 38 degrees last night. So some Rum Flake from the box pass in a Teipen Lumberman on the patio.

Re: Most most recent bowl
I'm going to assume that by "under the patio" you actually mean "on the covered patio" (i.e. on the patio, under the roof). "Under the patio" generally means that somebody buried your body in the backyard and then poured concrete over the top.
Anyway, sounds like a good time.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Smoked some McClelland 2000 last night while having a walk with the baby.
Today I hope to smoke an entire tin of Presbyterian Mixture while making some pens and razors.

Re: Most most recent bowl
McClelland bulk No. 5100 Red Cake in a large JAG (our JoeGoat) bent scoop....

5100 was a blend I started buying early on a couple years ago soon after taking up the pipe again successfully. Thanks CPSers for guiding me to this wonderful tobacco. I wish I had 10 pounds of it but began storing up instead No. 2015 VaPer flake and lots of McCl tins, such as the pictured Beacon Extra.
Soon after the shock of finding McCl closing their doors I inventoried my cellar and found 5100 Red Cake 2.25 pounds, so I am thankful I have enough to enjoy for some time yet.

Re: Most most recent bowl
First taste of C&D Bayou Morning as the Pens and Wings are tied 1-1 at the end of 1.
A King billiard bowl size a smallish 3 dunhill eye ball scale. Smoke through the nose is very interesting.
Slow sipper blend.
About 1/2 bowl now. First 1/4 pallet was rather robust. Almost cigar, but not quite. Smooths out quickly.
Interesting. Time to go In Search Of CPSers views on this.
Peace.
