guess the pipe brand or maker...

Post by isaac » Sun Feb 28, 2010 5:59 pm

I liked the last time we did this game... I'll start her back up again:

Just guess the pipe maker, person who guesses it right gets to post another pipe (can be factory or artisan pipe, no matter).

Cheat if you're that insecure, but the rest of us prefer you not look at the URL to try and determine the maker.

It is certainly Danish in styling. Is it actually a Danish pipe though?

The Danish influence has gone well beyond Dane-land. So... make your guess already!

It's the stem that gets me... but it's obviously an estate so the stem could have been buffed down to nothing. It's not a factory pipe, I don't think... much too thing of a stem.

Blah. What is this? Ben, are you reaffirming the supremacy of Danish and Northern European styled pipes?

The interesting thing is that they have stylistic similarities (so far). So the latest is probably from one of the reigning Euro Danish worshippers... I'm sure that there is variation from pipe maker to pipe maker but the reason it is a challenge to identify them is that they are so similar from a theme point of view.

Who would guess that Denmark was a super-power?

What? Barbi, maybe. That's my guess.

By the way, I really like that pipe. If any of you want to be nice to me and buy me that pipe, I would greatly appreciate it (you could take up a love offering or something).

My Turn....

It's not Danish!

Two hints, same maker..... pls pardon the mediocre photo.

Image

Is the photo too dark? If anybody feels that the photo quality makes it impossible to identify the maker then pls say so & I'll try again.

kah....BUMP!

Well? Good thing I'm not holding my breath or I'd be dead by now.

Guesses? Need hints?
What do you you think of them?

And no, I didn't make them. They date to 1985 (top) and 1983 (bottom) so they're approx 25 years old.
