Your pipes are gorgeous, joegoat!

I thank you for this compliment! I have a long way left on my pipe making journey. It's one that will never be over. There will always be something new to learn, something new to try, and something old to change. I've fallen in love with the craft though!

A Sav Punto Oro with a solid gold band I cleaned up. There are many gorgeous pipes out there, but I most enjoy those I bring back from the edge of the world....

Punto Oros are a very nice grade of Savinelli, Goose.
You've done the pipe world a service by bringing that one back to life.

I posted this on the lighters thread (this Zippo pipe lighter was an anniversary gift from my wonderful wife), but thought I might post it here as well.

The pipe is my FredS bent brandy, the pipe I seem to be picking up to smoke more than any of my others.

That's a whole heap of plateau.
Not a clencher, unless you're Paul Bunyan!

That's a Pipa Croci "GG" and is 9 - 1/2 inches long and weighs over 10 ounces. More of a museum piece than anything, but a person can sure get lost in the beauty of that rim.

Here's a photo of my seven-day set of American Smoking Pipe Co. pipes. All but the horn, which was carved by Curt Rollar, are Mark Tinsky pipes.

I gave this Stanwell pot and some tobacco to my son for his birthday this year:

This Don Carlos Dublin came to me by way of GaryinVa (thanks Gary):

Both you and Gary sure do get your hands on some very very nice pipes.

Last year I had that same Stanwell pot, however it was sandblasted, so the briar wasn't anywhere near the quality of that one. I didn't like the pipe, though, as the chamber was too small for me. So, I sold it to a friend. He seems to like it.

I like how you label your jars, DP. Makes the tobacco seem more inviting. Me? I just use magic markers on the lids.

There are 2 Stanwell pots with very similar shapes, but quite different chamber sizes. The 118 is a medium sized pipe, the 11 is fairly large. The pipe above is an 11. I gave this one, an Amber, to my son. I have one that's a Trio, and it smokes very well.

The grain on many of the mid and higher grade Stanwells, in my experience, is often exceptional - especially for the price.

The Stanwell is a Sixten Ivarsson design. I have it in Danske Club. Great pipe.

This pipe is my latest. My wife loves books and this was taken on the bookcase I built her.
