Mystery Pipe

Anybody have a clue about this pipe? And how I might research about it? For a start, I looked in Pipedia under Great Brittan and did not find it. Here are the stamps,....

As to your research goal of trying to discover the manufacturer of the pipe, it'd be best to dig through the various shape charts of the various English makers and attempt to line one up with yours.

The numerical typeface of 465 sort of conjured late Comoy in my mind but I couldn't find a corresponding fit...

...although I was quickly looking and didn't think to look for a "65", sometimes the maker would add an additional number to differentiate the private label stuff, so if you find a "65" that matches yours, it'd likely be a good clue.

In my eyes your pipe most closely resembles a 60's Barling, but the numbers don't line up.
Is this 5194 billiard chubby close to yours?

Pipepages is a great resource but many of the links are broken, although they can be manually fixed by adding the correct ".htm" ending in the addy, then you can see them.

Your pipe is interesting to me because of the name, I've never seen a "Hand Rubs" before, so that's pretty cool, although I had to refrain from inserting a semi-erotic joke in my commentary, hehe, the name is quite suggestive!

The pipe immediately following is interesting. It's not the 1 Corinthians I've seen, nor even the 2 Corinthians.
I wonder if the pipemaker was named Paul?
