Here's my first high-end hand made. It's an estate piece by John Calich, a Canadian pipe maker. He's dead now, so the price I got this for might qualify as a steal. It's a wonderful smoke and now a one of a kind collector. I'm quite pleased with it.

You're not the first guy to exagerate the length of his pipe.

I recently bought two 70's hand made Danish estate pipes, a Thurmann Danish Scoop and a Ben Wade (Preben Holm) Royal Grain. Both are in excellent condition. I'll post pics later (when I figure out where I can do so to link back here). :pipe2:

Peretti Pipe

Post by calvinistanglican » Tue Apr 28, 2009 5:28 am

I picked this pipe up while I was in Boston doing a charter. It was nice to go into the store and see the many different blends and tins, pipes, accessories, and even see them smoking in the store! Not in Canada!

I chose this little piece from the wall.

Image

They had many different styles of pipe within the range, but this shape seemed to grab my attention.

If you have the chance to swing through Boston, you have to make a stop at Peretti's. It's located right near the Boston Common downtown.

I did some wheeling and dealing with Blackadder on here and came up with this beauty:

I also want to say that it was great dealing with Blackadder and if you see anything for sale from him he's quick to ship and great to deal with.

I'm also beginning to gain an affinity for Stanwell pipes because this makes my second Stanwell in as many months.

Now for the most important part... what to smoke in it first...
