Blue Bunny Peanut Butter Panic. But I can't bring it home. If I did, one day I would not be able to fit through the door way to get out for more of it. So, it stays in the frozen food section at the IGA. I just every once in a while look at it.

Sad.

Picked up a pint of strawberry cheesecake ice cream at a local creamery last night. Not bad.

Hershey's Better Brownie Batter hand dipped ice cream.
Very good.
I am not sure I was aware that Hershey's made ice cream.
Little shop in the city market downtown has a selection of Hershey's hand dipped ice cream.
I suggest a sugar cone.

Had a kids scoop of rum raisin from Hopkin's Creamery on the way home from the beach today. The kids call it the "poop ice cream place." Cuz the cows are right there and the poop smell is somewhat overwhelming.... like some people in line have their shirts pulled up over their noses. But it's some good ice cream.

Homemade vanilla, hand cranked ice cream, with some Hershey's chocolate syrup drizzled over the top.

It's a distant memory, now. A cup of sugar, 4-6 eggs, a TBS or two of vanilla and maybe a shredded bean too if available, a can of evaporated milk. Mix well, pour into the freezer, fill to the line with regular milk, insert the paddles, assemble the crank, pack with ice and rock salt, and get to cranking. Some company is always welcome. Maybe take turns on the crank, and especially let the kids have a short go at it if they wish.

I can picture my mom and dad while typing this. Dad is carrying the freezer into the kitchen, sits it down in the sink, and waits while Mom removes the paddles and hands them to Dad so he can taste test. Then they replace the lid, pack the freezer in ice, cover, and let it stand and firm up a little, while all of us kids wait very impatiently. They'll open it up soon enough and serve it up. Heaven awaits.
As thus we sat in darkness
Each one busy with his prayers,
"We are lost!" the captain shouted,
As he staggered down the stairs.

O love the Lord, all ye His saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful. Psalm 31:23

Interesting. Pretty common here. Most people don't know Hershey's makes pasta.

Here in Pittsburgh it's Millie's all the way. Hipsters, yes, but hipsters that make incredible ice cream.

My kids picked up a pint of Hostess Twinkies ice cream. A new venue for Hostess. I had to try a spoonful. It was a sicky sweet as you might imagine and it tasted like Twinkies.

I can cross that off my bucket list.

You quit making it with eggs due to cost constraints and fear of litigation.

And for cost and potentially supply reasons you stop using actual vanilla beans or high quality extracts and use lower quality extracts (or just less)

Apparently the Natural Vanilla Bean is the vanilla you should do from Blue Bell and not their Homemade Vanilla.
