Good Tunes for Friday Listenin'

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

Grieved to have learned of this, brother. I am so sorry.

I, too, lost my father early, when I was just 19. He was only 59. Cancer tool him. That was a long time ago

So you sort of know how I feel. Dad had a massive heart attack, but he was so sick that we knew that last year of his life would probably be his last. I'm not in this group, but I am thinking of posting a song on youtube for Father's Day.

It's almost Thursday, but Friday's comin.' One cool song sung by Willie Nelson....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v2PK7_NMZ4

"I've got a long list of real good reasons
For all the things I've done
I've got a picture in the back of my mind
Of what I've lost and what I've won
I've survived every situation
Knowing when to freeze and when to run
And regret is just a memory written on my brow
And there's nothing I can do about it now."

Evidently you new numbskulls don't understand what Good Tunes for Friday listenin' is all about. It's about getting revved up for the weekend after a long week of work. Start over on page one and pay attention to the posts by TNLP and Joshoowah.

Neil Young is a whiny f***tard. I don't listen to any of his crap, unless he happens to be in there with Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and even then...

It's been a long week. 'How Great Thou Art' doesn't exactly hit the spot. Even Elvis's version.

Wow. I just listened to a few of these and I really get it. Some of you just aren't worthy of Fridays.

Hot damn, there is a stunning truth in what you wrote. It should be taught in the public schools.

I get it, too. Only celebratory, feel good, uppity type music. Got it. The originator of the thread has a right, and is right, about Friday. I should have picked up on that. Sorry

Here's a good tune for the end of the week, End Of The Line, by The Traveling Wilbury's (The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty)........
