“I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a tough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.”

Living in the Pacific Northwest, there is no need to go all the way to France for that sort of silliness. I'm confident that if I wanted to see that stuff I could just head down to the local college or downtown. I'd probably find pit hair dyed all sorts of colors and bejeweled and stuff.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

This why I tell students there's no need to raise their hand when answering a question.

I know I shouldn't have, but I clicked on the pic anyway. Did the girl on the right seriously dye her pit hair purple?

The temptation is almost too great to change just one letter of the thread title.

Interestingly, I read the title and thought it was going to be a serious thread about pits in French made pipes and was plotting to disrupt the thread with hairy armpits. I see my childish antics were thwarted by UncleBob from the outset. I'm an adaptable kinda guy though so here's my less stellar contribution to the thread:
