Pet Peeves

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

People who insist on occupying the entire isle at the store while looking at something. Pull over so others can get through.

Christmas decorations, and Christmas sales items before Thanksgiving, and this year before Hell-O-Ween. COMMON PEOPLE GIVE EACH HOLLIDAY IT’S OWN TIME.

People who justify their behavior with “I think Jesus…” That is the problem, you “think”. Don’t “think” see what the Bible has to say. If it doesn’t say then “think”

May I suggest online purchases . . . .

The absolute need for exchanging gifts among adults. I can afford to buy myself a $20 trinket that I don’t want. I don’t want it so I don’t buy it. Get it?

Idiots who think that political economic methods that have already been proven to not work will work. Study history. Some things have not…and guess what…will not work.

Pipers who insist that cobs are low class. At a time like this when the country as a whole is demonizing tobacco use we should all band together and protect what is ours. So join the Cobunist Party. The Party of intelligent and good looking people.

Lids not put back on things such as the toothpaste, I use my own tube of toothpaste now because my wife and children are unteachable in this matter.

Having to eat with a large spoon.

The window being open while the A.C. or Furnace is running, happens over and over, again, seemingly unteachable.

Tailgaters....I give them a brakejob and then the finger if they ride my a$$

And then you have the Important People in such a hurry that insist on entering your lane only two feet or less in front of you, I give them no room and will stay only inches on their butt, 9x out of 10 they move back over.

People who drop their weights on the floor after a set at the gym, stop the drama already...and when your done with that machine or bent bar, put your plates back on the rack, and wipe down that bench when your done you sweaty pig.

I used to have a lot more but Ive mellowed out over the last few years.

People that try to go around you when you're backing out of a spot in a parking lot. I have the right of way, Jack!

So now, I just back up as fast as I can, hoping to hit one of these morons that can't wait to go around me- because it will STILL be their fault, and I'll get a new car.

People that spell lose as loose. As in, "Be careful not to loose your lunch!" or "If your tobacco is loosing moisture..."

I'm not sure if this is an archaic usage which has come back into vogue or if it is an Anglo variant, but I have never seen "loose" used in this fashion in standard, modern English.

Loose is to be used in such manner: "Please let my dog loose! The leash is strangling him!" or "Do you have a screw loose?!?!"
