I do like the looks of nosewarmers. This one is well on it's way! What kind of wood is that? The grain is tight and very regular. I almost want to say oak, but the grain doesn't look quite like oak. As the weather cools in the coming months maybe I'll try making a nosewarmer.

It's, oak yes, I carved one from birch, and one from oak, tomorrow I go for it with another wad of Walnut root burl. That I'm willing to smoke for a while until I feel like ordering a little block of briar

Ok here goes nothing, my recently carved nose warmer together with a 6.00 estate pipe I cobbled from broken pieces from a bowl in the "weird" cabinet at a local antique store. Image
