Ha! Buddy.

Anyway, I just went out and dumped the rain gauge, which was over-flowing again. I've measured 17" here so far but I know that's too low. The gauge capacity is only 6", and we got that much since midnight. Besides, how can the gauge be accurate with rain blowing sideways.

Latest predictions have TS Harvey going back into the Gulf then making landfall here on Wed. That'll spare Houston I guess.

As far as I can tell, Harvey will hit us on Thursday.

I got to come home for a couple of hours to check on things. I was just outside having a smoke and could hear airboats operating in the neighborhoods behind me.

Airboats in my sleepy little suburb.

Praying the worst is over there for you, Jim. Weather folks are saying that today is expected to be our worst day so far, here. Some rescues taking place but so far my house is still dry. Wind gusts reached 50 last night, so not too bad, but I boarded up our large bathroom window yesterday anyway. I'll probably board up the east-side windows this mrng. Meanwhile we've had another 6+" of rain since midnight. Hamshire, where my P.O. Box is, is reporting 10" rain since midnight, and they are pretty much flooded. Many friends and a few relatives have water in their homes.
I'm ready for landfall, expected now to be tmrw afternoon, and for Harvey to move it's butt on out of here.

Would appreciate a continued prayer or two, just to get through the night tonight. Too much to talk about. Power is off since this afternoon, everything is flooded, and it's storming tonight. The Bayou is running through my neighbors yards. I volunteered with my boat today, but that's another story.

Very much in my constant thoughts and prayers, Tim, Jim.

The scale of this disaster and the level of suffering are unfathomable.
It is heartbreaking, but I'm glad you're okay and pray you remain so.

You, too, Fainn.

Haven't had time to get on here, but have been praying and thinking of you all regardless.

Made it through the night. Light rain and west wind this morning, so the storm must be a little north of us now, and it's about time.
Im thinking about changing from pipes to cigars, and changing forums too. You guys are bad luck.

Hooked up my boat and got out. Flooding everywhere, worst I've ever seen.

Prayer FYI - Tim is out in the middle of everything rescuing people by boat. It's a dangerous time.
