Not a lot of details yet but there is an active shooter situation in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Casino and possibly other locations. Lots of shots fired, lots of people hit. It's still too chaotic to know much more.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Shooter is dead. He was known to law enforcement for previous encounters. Companions are in custody. No mention yet as to the shooter's motivation, but likely that will come out soon.
