My friend's death...

Post by JMG » Thu Dec 07, 2017 5:06 am

This afternoon we were playing the annual high school boys vs mens soccer game here on the mission base. It's always a lot of fun and a lot of people came out to watch. With probably only 10 or 15 minutes left to go in the game, and without any warning, my friend Bizo collapsed and died of a heart attack. He leaves behind a wife and two young boys whom he loved very much. I can't express what a shock this is to our entire mission community.

Please pray first and foremost for his wife and kids. I simply cannot image what they are feeling. Thankfully, Bizo was a very strong believer and his life was evidence of his faith in Christ.

Also, and I feel selfish to ask for prayers for me at a time like this, but please ask God to heal me. I've seen a lot of death these last few years. This afternoon I lost a good friend only a few feet from me. I'm struggling with many things. Thank you for your prayers.

Praying. So very sorry.
As thus we sat in darkness
Each one busy with his prayers,
"We are lost!" the captain shouted,
As he staggered down the stairs.

Sorry to read about this JM. Soccer is about the most physically demanding sport there is and poor Bizo's ticker just gave out. No diagnosis of course.Just an assumption.

Prayers up for all concerned.

My wife's father died in Sierra Leone, West Africa of a sudden heart attack. About 10 years later, my wife and I tried to return there to finish the Bible translation project he started.

God's plans for us are beyond our comprehension. Praying.
