I bought a tin of Stanwell Melange at Uptown's. What a disappointment. The shop, not the tobacco--the tobacco is good.

It was a Pipe and Tobacco mail day. The falcon tobacco is quickly becoming my favorite and go to blend. I intend to buy a 8oz tin every other month until the overreach of the FDA kicks in.

Yup, there's a whole lotta bird there in that picture.

I also got 5oz of a copy cat: Sugar Barrel, Nightcap, and and nut/walnut blend. Oh, and an 8oz tin of C&D's Happy Hour.Image

Uptown in Nashville? I met up with flycruiser there once for a smoke. He got married and don't come around here no more. I don't remember being impressed with the shop especially, but sometimes I wish I would have bought a nice estate Dunhill they had, for $150.

My last purchase was a couple oz of McC PM Smoke, btw.

Star of the East bulk and a tin of GH Balkan.

I blame Sam's Blend for this up tic in lat blend procurement.

Got some PS LBE at the same time but, split it between two new pipes to try, I didn't keep any.

SG Firedance Flake, which has become a bit hard to find... I had given up for a while, but happened to find two tins at West Virginia Smoke Shop. It arrived in just three days!

I thought I had been able to get another 11 tins of McClelland Pebblecut from Iwan Ries but in speaking to them this morning about why it was never shipped they said McCl tobacco had been flying off the shelves so fast they weren't able to update their system.

It sure is going to be strange not ever again being able to post what McCl tobacco I just purchased.
